Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for Erskine Hall Care Home in Northwood, UK. The role supports our kitchen team to deliver high-quality meals for residents, with focus on cleanliness, portioning, and collaboration with chefs.

Experience in a kitchen and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate are requested, with a friendly approach to resident care. The job involves duties from liaising with the main kitchen, to preparing meals, rotating stock, and assisting with events.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Strong standards for dining experience for residents.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the link between the main kitchen and our residents.
• Assisting the chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and ensure all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Monitoring stock rotation, complying to company policies and procedures following all mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
• Assisting with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
