Job summary

Adkins & Cheurfi is looking for friendly kitchen assistants to join their catering team across the North East. The ideal candidate will have catering or hospitality experience and an enhanced DBS is preferred for work in schools or care homes.

You will assist with food prep, cooking, serving meals, and keeping the kitchen clean in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have 1+ year's kitchen experience, a valid driving licence, good communication, and the ability to work well in a team.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a kitchen environment (1 year+).
• Must have a valid driving licence.
• Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling ingredients.
• Assist in cooking and baking tasks, measuring cooking times.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment.
• Assist in serving meals to customers or staff members.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen environment.
