Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, Defence division, is seeking a motivated Kitchen Assistant to join Defence operations on a full-time, 40-hour week. You’ll prepare high-quality food, keep the kitchen clean, operate equipment safely, assist with deliveries, and uphold food safety and health standards.

You’ll work as part of a team delivering excellent service to Defence clients across a range of sites. We value reliability, teamwork, flexibility with shifts, and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding areas.
• Ensuring the correct use of all machinery and equipment.
• Assisting with the loading or unloading of deliveries and supply vehicles.
• Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations.
