Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, Defence division, is seeking a motivated Kitchen Assistant on a full-time basis (35 hours per week) to join a team that takes pride in what they do, their food and their brand, but most of all in their people.

Your shift pattern will be 5 days out of 7, supporting high standards of food preparation, cleanliness and safety, with opportunities to progress within a company that values supporting its colleagues and rewarding hard work.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen environment preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure during peak times.
• Good communication and teamwork across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding areas
• Ensuring the correct use of all machinery and equipment
• Assisting with loading or unloading deliveries and supply vehicles
• Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
