Job summary

Dobbies Garden Centres Ltd. is seeking Kitchen Assistants to deliver tasty meals, ensure food hygiene, and maintain high standards across our restaurants. You will prep and present dishes, support kitchen duties, and learn dietary requirements while delivering a welcoming experience for customers.

You will work in a fast-paced environment as part of a friendly team, upholding health and safety rules and contributing to a great garden-centre atmosphere for guests.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service and a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good communication and teamwork to support service across meals.
• Dietary requirements knowledge and basic health & safety understanding.
• Interest in developing food presentation and customer experience.
• Desire to learn and grow with a busy garden centre team.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and presenting food in line with menu specification.
• Working proactively and supporting general kitchen duties.
• Collaborating with the kitchen team to serve meals on time.
• Developing knowledge of dietary requirements and safety rules.
• Demonstrating values and positive team spirit in a busy environment.
