Job summary

Nellsar Limited, St Winifreds Care Home, Deal, Kent, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our supportive team. This role is 32.5 contracted hours per week, with some weekend work, at an hourly rate of £13.00.

You will help prepare meals, maintain kitchen hygiene, and assist in serving residents with a caring, patient approach. You will work closely with the Head Chef and care staff to ensure nutritious, well-presented meals while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Preparing all foodstuff, as directed by the Head Chef.
• Assisting and executing kitchen duties including cleaning schedules.
• Assisting in preparation and serving of all meals in a timely manner.
• Liaising with care staff and residents in a polite, person-centred way.
• Understanding health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion meals as directed by the Head Chef.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen areas.
• Assist in serving meals and ensuring timeliness.
• Coordinate with care staff to meet residents’ needs.

Job Vacancy: Kitchen Assistant Location : St Winifreds Care Home in Deal , Kent Contracted hours : 32.5 hours (to include some weekends)
