Job summary

Boundary Outlet in Colne is seeking a Kitchen Assistant/ Commis Chef to support the kitchen team in prepping and serving food. The role includes maintaining cleanliness, handling crockery, and assisting chefs during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen; sanitize surfaces and equipment.
• Wash and organise crockery, cutlery, and cookware.
• Support chefs during busy periods.
• Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors when replenishments are needed.
• Adhere to health and safety standards and food hygiene regulations.

Role Overview:
As a Kitchen Assistant/ Commis Chef,you’ll support the kitchen team in preparing and serving high-quality food while ensuring a clean and organised work environment. Your role will be key to helping us deliver a fantastic dining experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, ensuring all equipment, work surfaces, and utensils are clean and sanitised.
• Wash and organise crockery, cutlery, and cookware efficiently.
• Support chefs and other team members during busy periods.
• Monitor stock levels of kitchen supplies and notify supervisors when replenishments are needed.
• Adhere to health and safety standards, including food hygiene regulations.
