Job summary

The Clockspire in Milborne Port, Somerset, is seeking kitchen porters to join our team. You will help maintain cleaning, assist chefs, and support safe, well-organized BOH areas while maintaining high standards of hygiene.

Qualifications

• No formal education is required; a high school diploma or equivalent may be preferred.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift objects.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation is a plus.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Hands-on and proactive approach.
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment by hand or in dishwashers.
• Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces and food prep areas.
• Assist in basic food preparation tasks.
• Receive, store and organise kitchen supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Manage goods in and out.
