Job summary

Boclair Care Home, part of Care Concern Group Limited, Glasgow, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support high quality meals in a clean, safe kitchen. The role involves hands-on food prep, kitchen cleanliness, deliveries, storage, and stock organisation, working closely with the Chef to keep the kitchen running smoothly.

The position offers a consistent routine, paid PVG, pension, uniform, and 5.6 weeks annual leave on a full-time basis (30 hours per week contract).

Qualifications

• A positive and reliable approach.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment.
• Assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and help with deliveries, storage and stock organisation.
• Work closely with the Chef and wider team to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.
• Contribute to a consistent routine and build or develop experience within a supportive kitchen environment.
