Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a similar catering role, ideally in a care environment.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

As our kitchen assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our care homes kitchen.

What you'll be doing
  • Supporting the Chefs in the planning and provision of high-quality meals that meet the nutritional and dietary requirements of our residents
  • Plan, prepare, and serve balanced meals that meet dietary requirements
  • To ensure all food prepared meets Food Hygiene Standards and ensure that safe methods of work are always used
  • Manage all stocks and stores ensuring all food is correctly marked and stock rotation systems are in place
  • To maintain accurate records to satisfy food hygiene requirement such as fridge temperature checks

  • Proven experience working in a similar catering role, ideally in a care or similar environment.
  • Committed to customer care and first-class service provision
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety COSHH regulations
  • Empathy and a desire to make a difference to the lives of our residents
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and on own initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • To share our values and demonstrate them at all times. “Can-Do” flexible team worker, problem fixer, passion for what they do, ability to manage diverse and demanding workload, think out of the box, open to doing things differently
