About the Role

Your role as Kitchen Assistant involves supporting food preparation and maintaining a clean environment to ensure the safe production of beverages and meals, delivering high-quality service to residents.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Understanding safe food handling principles to maintain hygiene standards during food preparation.
  • Contributing to team efforts, responding positively to colleagues, and following work instructions promptly.
  • Advising on the supply and quality of items used, ensuring timely and appropriate ordering of replacements.
  • Respecting the dignity and individuality of residents and their visitors in all interactions.
About You

To succeed, you should embody our values of caring, supportiveness, honesty, respect, and accountability.

Our ideal candidate must:

  • Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
  • Have knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
  • Be an efficient worker capable of sustained physical effort and handling a demanding workload.
  • Show initiative and a positive, flexible attitude towards team work.
  • Exhibit a caring and understanding attitude towards residents.
