About You
You will help prepare and serve nutritious meals, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Your responsibilities include managing food supplies, maintaining fridge/freezer temperatures, training new staff, and cleaning. Resident wellbeing is your top priority.
We seek a Kitchen Assistant with some kitchen experience, preferably with an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or willingness to obtain one. Strong organizational skills, good record-keeping, recipe following, and considerate communication are essential.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. Attendance at safeguarding training and the ability to seek advice and escalate concerns are required.
