Job summary

Lakeside School in Liverpool, part of the Witherslack Group, is seeking a cook to join our SEND-focused education team. You’ll prepare and serve nutritious meals for pupils aged 5 to 16, staff and visitors in a supportive school setting.

You’ll follow food hygiene rules, help plan varied menus to meet dietary needs, and contribute to a welcoming environment where every student thrives within the Witherslack Group’s inclusive ethos.

Qualifications

• Experience catering in a professional setting.
• Ideally have a basic Food Hygiene and Safety Certificate.
• Be hard working, friendly and dependable.

You’ll be expected to follow food hygiene rules and keep health and safety in mind, but the key is to create varied menus that encourage our young people to try new food. You’ll help plan meals, taking into account any specific dietary requirements.
