Our stunning care home, Ruddington Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility in Wilford, Nottingham. The home is registered to provide care to 66 residents with a variety of needs, including residential and nursing. Ruddington Manor is rated GOOD in all domains by CQC. We provide the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care to residents. Located conveniently, we have a very good local reputation. New Care has had zero agency usage for over 43 years, employing a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care from staff who know and residents who trust them. Across New Care, all staff are paid the national living wage or above.

We are seeking to appoint a kind, caring, and motivated Head of Hospitality to join our team. You will be responsible for organizing Hospitality Assistants and Care Assistants to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience for our residents. Your duties include dining room preparation, cleanliness, setup, and ensuring meals are served timely, presentably, and correctly. This role involves leading a team of Hospitality Assistants, managing rotas, training, and supervision. We offer a 38-hour contract with an hourly rate of £12.44. Shift times are 0800-1900, with alternate weekend working.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure high standards of hospitality service.
  2. Support and assist visitors.
  3. Inform the Chef of any individual resident requirements.
  4. Follow cleaning schedules and HACCP procedures.
  5. Adhere to all training provided.
  6. Maintain proper records and reports, including cleaning schedules, worksheets, fridge temperatures, and HACCP paperwork.
  7. Manage, allocate duties, and supervise the hospitality team to ensure quality care delivery during shifts.
  8. Coach staff and participate in their ongoing development.
  9. Promote safeguarding and the welfare of adults the post holder is responsible for or contacts.

Skills and Experience Required:

  1. Experience as a Dining or Restaurant Supervisor is essential.
  2. Previous experience in a care setting is desirable.
  3. Effective communication skills are essential.
  4. Participation in activities organized in the home is essential.
