Job description

Our client is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to work 40 hours weekly, with 8-hour shifts, starting immediately.

Initial hourly rate: GBP 12.21 gross.

Regular shifts are from 7am to 3:30pm with a half-hour unpaid break, or from 11am to 7:30pm with a half-hour unpaid break.

The role involves working five days out of seven, including weekends, which may be full Saturday and Sunday or partial shifts only on Saturday or Sunday.

Key Job Responsibilities:

1. Cleaning and tidying the kitchen and dining area.
2. Operating the dishwasher, sweeping and mopping floors, collecting rubbish and disposing of it in outdoor refuse bins. These tasks will likely constitute about 70% of the work.
3. Assisting with serving during breakfast, lunch, and dinner, requiring good customer service skills.
4. Supporting simple food preparation tasks, such as preparing fruit salads and portioning cakes.

The team values candidates who are quick, efficient, and eager to be part of a friendly, small kitchen team.

There is some online training required, including Health & Safety and Food Safety courses.

The candidate must have an enhanced DBS clearance, which our client will process.

Own transportation is essential due to the location.
