Job summary

Almond Family Pubs in Stockport is expanding its kitchen team and is seeking a Kitchen Assistant. No prior experience needed; a great attitude and willingness to learn are all that's required to join a friendly, busy kitchen.

You'll keep the kitchen clean, assist with basic food prep, and support chefs during peak times, with flexible hours and opportunities for training and progression.

Qualifications

• No experience required; great attitude and willingness to learn.
• Reliable, punctual, and hard-working.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically fit and able to be on your feet for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
• Wash pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Assist with basic food prep when needed.
• Ensure cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard.
• Help with unloading and storing deliveries.
• Keep fridges, freezers, and dry stores organised.
• Follow hygiene, health, and safety procedures.

Kitchen Assistant duties

• Keep the kitchen clean, tidy, and safe at all times
• Wash pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Assist with basic food prep when needed
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard
• Help with unloading and storing deliveries
• Keep fridges, freezers, and dry stores organised
• Empty bins and manage waste safely
• Support chefs and kitchen team during busy periods
• Follow hygiene, health, and safety procedures
• Be a reliable and supportive part of the kitchen team
