As our kitchen assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our care home's kitchen.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting the Chefs in planning and providing high-quality meals that meet the nutritional and dietary requirements of our residents
• Planning, preparing, and serving balanced meals that meet dietary requirements
• Ensuring all food prepared meets Food Hygiene Standards and safe work methods are always used
• Managing stocks and stores, ensuring all food is correctly marked and stock rotation systems are in place
• Maintaining accurate records to satisfy food hygiene requirements such as fridge temperature checks

• Proven experience working in a similar catering role, ideally in a care or similar environment
• Committed to customer care and first-class service provision
• Knowledge of Health and Safety COSHH regulations

• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and on own initiative in a fast-paced environment
