Job summary

Country House Weddings Ltd is seeking a Casual Kitchen Assistant / Kitchen Porter to join a busy, from-scratch kitchen near Warwickshire countryside. No experience is required as full training will be provided, and you’ll work with classically trained chefs who love food and developing people.

Ideal candidates are team players with a strong work ethic, looking to start a professional kitchen journey and enjoy a friendly, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning the kitchen to ensure it is ready for the next day
• Maintaining food storage areas, including fridges and freezers
• Receiving deliveries and organising stock correctly
• Washing dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
• Loading and unloading the dishwasher
• Removing kitchen waste and disposing of it safely
• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment such as cookers and food mixers
• Supporting chefs with basic food preparation (washing, peeling, chopping ingredients)
• Assisting the kitchen team as required during service
