Job summary

Caterplus at Albert Edward Prince Of Wales Court is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to be a key member of our team, delivering friendly service and supporting the Chef in daily operations.

You’ll learn the menu, keep the kitchen clean, stock supplies, assist with light food prep, operate till procedures when needed, and follow COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety rules. This 16 hours per week pattern offers valuable experience and flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure knowledge of menu and offers to provide accurate information to customers.
• Keep the kitchen area clean, presentable and well stocked.
• Support the Chef, assisting with simple food prep when needed.
• Operate equipment and report maintenance issues as required.
• Operate till procedures when necessary.
• Follow COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations and report incidents.

What you’ll be doing…

As a Kitchen Assistant you will have plenty of responsibility and opportunity to grow in your role, becoming a critical member of our team.

• Ensure thorough and up to date knowledge and understanding of menu and special offers in order to provide relevant information to customers and clients
• Ensure the kitchen area is always clean, well presented and well-stocked
• Support the Chef(s), making sure the kitchen environment is to high standards with ad hoc duties in simple food prep from time to time
• Be responsible for smooth operation of relevant equipment reporting any maintenance issues in line with procedures
• Operate the till point as required, ensuring correct procedures are used
• Ensure that COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with procedures

Working Pattern:Monday to Sunday | 16hrs Per Week
