Job summary

Elior Group is hiring for a part-time catering assistant at Bowes Lyon Court, delivering warm, welcoming service to the over-55 community. You will help with daily kitchen cleanliness, support chefs, and handle simple food prep while ensuring safety and hygiene standards are met.

The role emphasizes frontline customer interaction, teamwork, and reliable participation in a caring, community-focused environment. Weekend and mid-day shifts supportour mission to nourish and connect residents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu and offers to give customers correct information.
• Keep the kitchen area clean, presentable and well stocked.
• Assist chefs and handle simple food prep as needed.
• Ensure equipment operates smoothly and report maintenance issues.
• Operate the till using correct procedures.
• Adhere to COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety rules and report incidents.

What you'll be doing…

• Ensure thorough and up to date knowledge and understanding of menu and special offers in order to provide relevant information to customers and clients
• Ensure the kitchen area is always clean, well presented and well-stocked
• Support the Chef(s), making sure the kitchen environment is to high standards with ad hoc duties in simple food prep from time to time
• Be responsible for smooth operation of relevant equipment reporting any maintenance issues in line with procedures
• Operate the till point as required, ensuring correct procedures are used
• Ensure that COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with procedures

Working Pattern: Mon, Tue, Thu & Friday | 11am to 3pm | 16 Hours Per Week

Salary: £10,603.20 (£12.74 per hour)
