Job summary

CAVU, part of MAG (Airports Group), is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to join the Hospitality Team at East Midlands Airport. You will help deliver an excellent lounge experience, keep kitchens clean and stocked, and support safe, efficient operations across duties from washing crockery to stock rotation.

The role requires flexibility (open 7 days a week) and shifts between 02:00 and 21:30. Applicants must be over 18. Benefits include on-site parking, meals, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in a similar role desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the lounge team with the delivery of an excellent lounge experience.
• Ensuring the kitchen and all storage locations are kept clean, hygienic and adhere to all health and safety standards.
• Washing all crockery, cutlery and light equipment.
• Cleaning kitchen ovens, fridges and floors in accordance with operating standard.
• Ensuring that any crockery, cutlery and equipment is stored correctly and that floors and fire exits are kept free of any obstacles.
• Monitoring all waste disposal bins ensuring waste items are recycled by placing in correct waste disposal bins and adhering to the waste policy.
• Reporting any maintenance issues
• Clearing all breakages and spillages, following operating procedure and dispose of them correctly.
• Ensuring that only Ecolab chemicals are used for cleaning.
• Taking receipt of all deliveries, ensuring that all items arrive and are correctly put away ensuring stock rotation.

The role

Flexibility will be required as the lounge is open 7 days a week and your shifts will fall between the hours of 02:00am - 9.30pm.
