MAG (Airports Group) operates CAVU hospitality lounges and provides services at East Midlands Airport. We are hiring a Kitchen Assistant to join the Hospitality Team and deliver a first-class lounge experience for passengers.

The role requires flexible shifts between 02:00 and 21:30, seven days a week, and adherence to health and safety standards. You will assist with food preparation, cleaning, stock management, and deliveries, with training and career development opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in a similar role desirable.
• Must be over 18 to apply.

Responsabilités

• Assisting the lounge team with the delivery of an excellent lounge experience.
• Ensuring the kitchen and all storage locations are kept clean, hygienic and adhere to all health and safety standards.
• Washing all crockery, cutlery and light equipment.
• Cleaning kitchen ovens, fridges and floors in accordance with operating standard.
• Ensuring that crockery, cutlery and equipment is stored correctly and that floors and fire exits are kept free of obstacles.
• Monitoring all waste disposal bins ensuring waste items are recycled by placing in correct waste disposal bins.
• Reporting any maintenance issues.
• Clearing all breakages and spillages, following operating procedure and dispose of them correctly.
• Ensuring that only Ecolab chemicals are used for cleaning.
• Taking receipt of all deliveries, ensuring that all items arrive and are correctly put away ensuring stock rotation.

The role

We are looking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant to join our Hospitality Team. Our Lounges here at East Midlands Airport provides our customers with the very best start to their journeys.

Duties will include:

• Assisting the lounge team with the delivery of an excellent lounge experience.
• Ensuring the kitchen and all storage locations are kept clean, hygienic and adhere to all health and safety standards.
• Washing all crockery, cutlery and light equipment.
• Cleaning kitchen ovens, fridges and floors in accordance with operating standard.

• Reporting any maintenance issues
• Clearing all breakages and spillages, following operating procedure and dispose of them correctly.

• Taking receipt of all deliveries, ensuring that all items arrive and are correctly put away ensuring stock rotation.

Flexibility will be required as the lounge is open 7 days a week and your shifts will fall between the hours of 02:00am - 9.30pm.
