Job summary

Healthcare Homes Holdings Limited is seeking a Kitchen Assistant at Barking Hall, near Needham Market. The role involves assisting the chef, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, and following food safety standards in a nursing home setting.

Shifts run 10am–5pm, 7am–2pm or 7am–5pm, with bank shifts to cover leave and sickness including alternate weekends. A supportive induction and training programme is provided, with opportunities to progress within the healthcare homes group.

Kitchen Assistant

Barking Hall, Near Needham market

£12.71 per hour

Bank Shifts Only to cover annual leave and sickness (includes alternate weekends)

Shifts - 10am to 5pm, 7am to 2pm or 7am to 5pm

Barking Hall is surrounded by stunning scenery and gardens. Once part of the stables of a much larger estate, it is beautifully tranquil, set on the edge of the hamlet of Barking next to the busier town of Needham Market. The home itself has a very calm and friendly atmosphere, the staff and residents look upon the home like an extended family.

What would a typical day look like?

• Supporting the chef with meal preparation and delivery
• Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment at all times
• Following good kitchen practices and basic food hygiene standards

This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in working within a kitchen and experience is not essential as we can provide you with a thorough induction and training programme to further develop your skills, including progression to become a chef, along with the support and guidance of a well-established team who truly value their colleagues.
