Qualifications

  • No formal education required but must show dedication and care.
  • Ability to work in a team while delivering high standards of service.
  • Experience in a kitchen environment preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Cook in planning and preparing nutritious meals.
  • Ensure high standards in kitchen maintenance.
  • Help maintain an excellent dining experience for residents.

Please note: This role will require you to work from 08:00am - 18:00pm, 3 days on and 3 days off including weekends and Bank Holidays

Our kitchen team at De Brook Lodge is a huge part of care home life and the Kitchen Assistant helps the Cook to plan and prepare a variety of meals which are appealing, nutritious and centred around our residents' preferences, requests and dietary requirements. As well as helping to ensure the dining experience exceeds our resident's expectations at every mealtime, the Kitchen Assistant will also help keep our state of-the-art kitchen facilities up to our high standards
