About the role:

• Distribute to and collect crockery from residents
• Assist in washing crockery, cutlery, cooking and serving utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas in accordance with COSHH regulations
• Ensure all health and safety guidelines are strictly followed
• Carry out any reasonable requests or instructions from the Home Manager or Head Chef
• Accept and process kitchen deliveries, ensuring correct storage and inventory rotation
• Support meal preparation
• Work closely with care staff to accommodate residents’ individual meal preferences

About you:

• Right to live and work in the UK
• Previous experience in a similar role is essential
• Experience in a care home environment is ideal, but hotel/restaurant backgrounds are also encouraged
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work in a team, with a caring nature and positive attitude
• Understanding of Health and Safety, Infection Control, and COSHH
