McMullen & Sons Ltd, operating the Salisbury Arms Hotel in Hertford, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant. The role is part-time with a competitive salary and benefits.

You will support the kitchen team, help prep and maintain a clean working area, and contribute to a high standard of service in a busy hotel environment. Salary ranges from £10.59 to £14.00 per hour, depending on age and experience, with weekly pay and an achievable bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen or service an asset.
• Familiarity with kitchen hygiene practices is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and closing the kitchen for service.
• Keep kitchen and equipment clean and hygienic at all times.
• Be a team player, helping the Chefs as required.

Key Responsibilities of a Kitchen Assistant

• Assist in setting up and closing down the kitchen ready for service or the next trading session
• Keep the kitchen and all equipment clean, tidy and hygienic at all times
• Ensure that the kitchen does not run out of clean crockery and cutlery during service
• Be a team player, helping and assisting the Chefs when required
