About The Role

Kitchen Assistant

Location : Fern Brook Lodge - Gillingham - Dorset - SP8 4Q

Pay rate: £12.30 per hour

Hours: Full time 35 hours per week toinclude alternate weekends

We have an exciting opportunity for a Kitchen Assistant to join the team atFern Brook Lodge, our newly refurbished residential care home, which is a hub for the community inGillinghamand the surrounding villages ofNorth Dorset.

What you will be doing:

• Support the Chef team with the basic preparation of fresh and nutritious meals, snacks and drinks for our residents
• Assist with supporting residents with an enjoyable dining experience every day
• Ensuring kitchen and dining room areas are kept hygienic and clean
• Washing all cooking appliances and crockery – sanitising all food preparation areas

Who are we looking for:

Previous experience within a kitchen environment is not essential but be prepared to be busy in a fast-paced role.

Caring individual with the ability to support our residents during mealtimes.

Flexible in the hours that you work and happy to join in as part of our larger kitchen team.
