Job summary

SSP Group is hiring a Kitchen Assistant at Crewe Station. The role offers full-time hours (30 hrs) with shifts from 4:30 am to 7:00 pm on Tue, Thu, Fri and Sat. Base pay £12.71 per hour, plus a £1.20 per hour uplift for hours between midnight and 6:00 am, bringing the rate to £13.91 for those hours.

We provide full training, and prior kitchen experience is welcome but not required. You’ll join a fast‑paced team delivering great service across popular brands and locations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older to perform certain tasks or shifts.
• Full training provided.
• Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not necessary; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with basic prep and waste management.
• Keep kitchen areas clean, including dishes, surfaces and floors.
• Maintain kitchen and food safety standards.
• Assist with SSP Stores or serving customers as required.

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour (+ an additional £1.20ph on hours worked between midnight & 6:00am taking your hourly rate to £13.91).

We have Full Time (30hrs) roles available.

Variable shifts between 4:30 am & 7:00pm on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday.
