Job summary

SSP Food Travel Experts is hiring a Kitchen Assistant. Join us to help create feel-good moments for customers in busy airport, station and service areas across the UK & Ireland.

You’ll bring enthusiasm, positivity and a passion for hospitality, with flexible weekend shifts and a path to develop through our training programs. As a Kitchen Assistant you’ll support deliveries, food preparation, stock rotation and cleanliness, ensuring high standards of food safety and timely production of dishes.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older for certain tasks or shifts.

Responsibilities

• Help with deliveries.
• Prepare meats, vegetables and pastries.
• Assist in stock rotation.
• Maintain kitchen and food safety standards.
• Time management for preparation and production.
• Measure ingredients and portion sizes.
• Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties.

Variable Shift times between 5:30am to 10:30pm

. Working flexibly across Weekends only.

• You will be passionate and kind whilst always ensuring that all guests leave having had the best of times
• Due to some responsibilities within theKitchen Assistantrole, applicants will

need to be 18 years of age or over to perform certain tasks or work on certain shifts.

ABOUT THE KITCHEN ASSISTANT ROLE:

• Helping with deliveries.
• Preparing meats, vegetables and pastries
• Assisting in stock rotation.
• Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.
• Effective time management for preparation and production of products.
• Precise measurements of ingredients and portion sizes.
• Executing daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties as directed.
