Job summary

Away Resorts is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for Retallack Resort & Spa in Cornwall. This seasonal contract offers a fixed hourly rate of £12.71, paid weekly, and a busy, guest-facing kitchen environment.

You will support the kitchen team with hygiene, prep, and service, helping to deliver memorable dining experiences. Training is provided, with opportunities to grow within the group.

Qualifications

• Experience in F&B environment

• Level 2 Hygiene certificate and holiday sector experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Ensure the food preparation areas, equipment and floors are clean and hygienic
• Washing utensils and dishes and ensuring they are stored appropriately
• Accept deliveries, ensuring ingredients are stored correctly and date rotated
• Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking foodstuffs and helping to prepare other items on the menu
• Work alongside front of house and kitchen team to maximise food margins and minimise wastage
• Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and COSHH regulations

Kitchen Assistant

Location: Retallack Resort & Spa, St Columb, Cornwall

Hours of work: Seasonal contract - Variable hours

Salary: £12.71 per hour - Paid Weekly!

What we need in a nutshell

We're looking for a kitchen assistant who can deliver delight to our guests. You will be helping the kitchen team to run a safe, efficient and profitable food and beverage operation.

Who are we?

We're a dynamic and growing company, shaking up the Great British holiday at our award-winning UK resorts. Retallack Resort and Spa is a luxury spa resort and a lively water sports hub, wrapped up in a stunning countryside location close to the North Cornish coast.

What you'll be doing

You will be working in the engine room of the kitchen ensuring guests receive a memorable experience through excellent service and food quality.

• Ensuring the food preparation areas, equipment and floors are clean and hygienic.
• Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately.

Skills, experience and qualities you'll need:

It's the icing on the cake if you have a Level 2 Hygiene certificate and experience in the holiday sector, but don't worry if you haven't, we provide plenty of training.
