Kitchen Assistant

Hauxton (Cambridge) - Mill View

GBP24,242.40 per annum (Pro rata)

Permanent

Part time (20 hours per week)

We are currently looking for a kitchen assistant to help deliver an in-house catering service at Mill View.

The role involves basic food preparation, cleaning, and some client interaction.

We seek a hard-working individual who can follow instructions and learn quickly. Experience is not essential but preferred.

Our work in Retirement Living aims to create modern communities where over-55s can live in desirable, social, independent spaces, with tailored care and support available if needed.

This is made possible by our dedicated Retirement Living team, which you could join.

What you will be doing:

• Support the Head chef and chef de partie in daily kitchen operations.
• Assist with basic food preparation.

Additional responsibilities include keeping the kitchen clean, food running, table clearing, and interacting with residents.

We'd love to meet someone with:

• Experience in busy kitchen environments.
• Knowledge of Food Safety legislation and health and safety procedures.
• A helpful, can-do attitude.
• Knowledge of catering equipment operation.
• Experience working with older clients.
• Experience in events and functions catering.
• An appropriate food hygiene certificate.
