Job summary

TLC Care is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our care home kitchen. You will assist in preparing, cooking and serving meals, and help with vegetables, trolleys, plating and puree portions, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

We value friendly, team-oriented staff with a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred) and experience in a kitchen. You will work as part of a supportive team in a care environment, with opportunities for development and staff benefits.

Qualifications

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate preferred.
Experience of working in a kitchen.
Good communincation skills.
Team player.
Genuine interest of working within a care environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of meals and drinks.
To prepare vegetables and beverages for residents as required by the Chef Manager
To prepare food trolleys for the meals
To provide assistance with plating meals when required.
To assist with the preparation of puree food.
Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

The Role Of The Kitchen Assistant Is To

Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of meals and drinks.

To prepare food trolleys for the meals
To provide assistance with plating meals when required.
To assist with the preparation of puree food.
Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
