Job summary

TLC Care invites applications for a Kitchen Assistant at our care home in Potters Bar. You will assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of meals and drinks, support the Chef Manager with vegetables and beverages, and help prepare trolleys and plated portions for residents.

We value cleanliness and high hygiene standards and offer an encouraging environment with training opportunities. Basic food hygiene is preferred, and you will work as part of a friendly team dedicated to compassionate

Qualifications

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate preferable.
Experience of working in a kitchen.
Good communication skills.
Team player.
Genuine interest of working within a care environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of meals and drinks.
To prepare vegetables and beverages for residents as required by the Chef Manager
To prepare food trolleys for the meals
To provide assistance with plating meals when required.
To assist with the preparation of puree food.
Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

The role of the Kitchen Assistant is to:

Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of meals and drinks.

To provide assistance with plating meals when required.
To assist with the preparation of puree food.
Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
