About You
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will help prepare and serve nutritious meals, uphold cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene standards. Your responsibilities include maintaining food supplies, managing fridge/freezer temperatures, training new starters, and cleaning, all with Resident wellbeing as a priority.
We prefer candidates with some kitchen experience and an NVQ Level 2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or a willingness to obtain one. Strong organizational skills, good record keeping, recipe following, and considerate communication are essential. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility; you must recognize signs of abuse or neglect, attend relevant training, and know how to report concerns.
