As a Kitchen Assistant, your responsibilities will include helping to prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals that residents will love. You'll demonstrate high standards in cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Whether maintaining food supplies and fridge/freezer temperatures, showing new starters how to use equipment, or cleaning spilled food from inside the oven, you'll always prioritize Resident wellbeing.
We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant with some kitchen experience. It is essential that you have either an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation or the willingness to study for one. Good record-keeping and organizational skills are necessary, as well as the ability to follow recipes. When communicating with Residents or colleagues, you should be considerate and kind.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. It is important that you can recognize signs of possible abuse, harm, or neglect and know what actions to take if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and to undertake additional training as needed. You should also be able to seek advice and report concerns appropriately, escalating if necessary.
