Job summary

Valor Hospitality is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to help our kitchen team prepare and cook dishes to menu specification, day in and day out, with every plate presented to a high standard.

Day to day, that means assisting with preparation and cooking, ensuring high quality presentation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and following food safety regulations. The role involves flexible shifts as the kitchen operates year-round.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and cooking of food to meet menu requirements
• Ensuring all dishes are prepared and served to a high standard of quality and presentation
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen and all food preparation areas
• Following food safety, health and hygiene regulations and procedures at all times
• Assisting with stock rotation and proper storage of food items
• Working closely with the rest of the kitchen team to keep daily service running smoothly
• Staying flexible on shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, as the rota requires
• The kitchen operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year, so shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis

£27,352 per annum, £13.15 per hour, 40 hours per week across 5 days
