Job summary

Central Bedfordshire Council is seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join the newly established Kinship Team within the Fostering Service. You will assess and support kinship carers to help children thrive in safe, nurturing environments.

You will conduct initial visits, Regulation 24, Special Guardianship, friends and family foster assessments, and Form F assessments, collaborating with children's social workers and other professionals.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Experience in statutory social work and completing complex assessments.
• Ability to present high-quality reports to panels.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assessments including initial visits, Regulation 24, Special Guardianship, friends and family foster assessments, and Form F.
• Support kinship carers and develop therapeutic parenting approaches.
• Collaborate with children's social workers and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes.
• Present high-quality reports to panels and safeguard children.
