Job summary

The King’s Trust program at Carshalton College seeks a Learning Mentor to support and mentor learners with mental health or medical conditions, disabilities, or learning difficulties to access the curriculum and successfully complete their course.

Ideal candidates will have experience working with young people in a mentoring role, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and qualifications in English/Literacy and Maths.

Qualifications

Job description

The King’s Trust program at Carshalton College is seeking a Learning Mentor - someone to support and mentor learners with a mental health or medical condition, disability, or learning difficulty, or other support needs to help them successfully access the curriculum and complete their course.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who has experience of working successfully with young people in a supporting/mentoring role. Your experience will have given you excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a good working knowledge of the support needs of young people with a mental health or medical condition, disability or learning difficulty. We’d also like you to hold a Level 2 qualification in English/Literacy as a minimum and a Level 1 qualification in Maths.
