Job summary

Gi Group Holdings Recruitment Limited is seeking a Kiln Car Repairer for a busy manufacturing site in Aldridge, Walsall. You will strip down, clean, repair and rebuild kiln cars to keep production running safely and efficiently.

This hands-on role requires careful attention, safe working practices and the ability to work at pace. The position offers 6am-4pm, Monday to Friday, with an hourly rate of £13.50 and ongoing, long-term stability.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hands‑on repair/maintenance environment.
• Kiln car experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to follow practical instructions and maintain quality.
• Comfortable with physical work and manual handling up to 25kg.

Responsibilities

• Strip down, clean, repair and rebuild kiln cars.
• Use small hand tools to access components and perform repairs.
• Hoover and clean kiln cars before and after maintenance.
• Reassemble kiln cars safely and correctly for use.
• Manual handling up to 25kg as part of daily duties.
