Job summary

Louma Country Hotel is seeking a proactive Children’s Activity Club Leader/Coordinator/Supervisor to manage our play area and ensure outstanding guest care. You will supervise staff, promote safety and wellbeing, organise engaging activities and maintain records in line with safeguarding policies.

The role requires experience with children, safeguarding knowledge, and excellent communication. Flexible evenings/weekends and a collaborative team environment are offered as part of the hospitality

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a play, childcare, or educational setting.
• Strong understanding of child safeguarding and health & safety practices.
• Excellent communication skills with children and adults.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and positive in a busy environment.
• Reliable and proactive with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team and build strong working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation of the children’s play area, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and a welcoming atmosphere.
• Supervise and support other play area staff, providing guidance, training, and encouragement.
• Monitor children’s activities to ensure safe play and intervene when necessary to prevent accidents or resolve conflicts.
• Carry out regular safety checks on equipment and facilities, reporting and addressing maintenance needs promptly.
• Greet and engage with parents and guardians, answering questions and building confidence in our care.
• Organise and lead age-appropriate games, activities, and themed events to enhance the play experience.
• Maintain accurate incident and attendance records in line with safeguarding policies.
