Job summary

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council, through its Dudley Performing Arts, is seeking a dedicated Keyboard Specialist to teach in schools and our Cable Plaza Music School. This 18-hour-per-week role offers community-based music education across the Dudley borough and flexible opportunities within a thriving program.

The successful candidate should be a skilled keyboard player with strong music theory knowledge and excellent communication skills, able to inspire young musicians and participate in

Qualifications

• Experience in music education is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• One-to-one and small-group keyboard tuition in schools and colleges
• Evening teaching at the Music School at Cable Plaza
• Deliver high-quality learning experiences for children and young people of all ages and abilities
• Lead weekly rehearsals and participate in a keyboard ensemble
• Support the wider programme of music education run by DPA
