We are looking for a KS2 class teacher to help close the gap with our pupils. An interest in PE is desirable but not essential, as there is the opportunity for PE leader responsibility if this is something you are interested in.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working, and experienced Primary School teacher to join our dedicated team at Barming.

Responsibilities

Curriculum Development:

  • Develop strong strategies and ideas for motivating pupils and closing gaps.
  • Implement innovative ways to bring the curriculum to life to ensure engagement and fun.

Student Engagement:

  • Implement strategies to promote a love for learning.
  • Organise and coordinate KS2 related activities, events, and competitions.
  • Uphold the school’s policies to ensure all children follow our school rules and core values.

Assessment and Data Analysis:

  • Analyse assessment data to inform teaching practices and identify areas for improvement.

Parent and Community Engagement:

  • Communicate effectively with parents.

Professional Development:

  • Engage in continuous professional development and share knowledge with colleagues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Willingness to engage in CPD such as NPQs
  • Understanding that working as part of a team is crucial to good progress and attainment
  • Strong knowledge of primary school curriculum and assessment methods
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate both pupils and colleagues
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
