Smile Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in the M40 Oldham area for a Year 5/6 teacher starting September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term role and not suitable for ECTs.

You will need QTS, UK primary teaching experience, and strong curriculum knowledge to deliver engaging KS2 lessons and build positive relationships with staff, pupils and parents.

Smile Education

Smile Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in the M40 Oldham area who are seeking an experienced Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis from September 2026.

This is a full-time role teaching a Year 3 class. The school is looking for a confident and strong classroom practitioner who can quickly build positive relationships, maintain high expectations and deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Have recent experience teaching within KS2
• Be confident teaching a Year 5/6 class
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
• Be reliable, adaptable and committed
• Work effectively as part of a wider school team

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Previous UK primary teaching experience
• Strong knowledge of the curriculum
• Completion of Induction ECT would be an advantage

Please note: this role is not suitable for ECTs due to the level of experience required.
