Salary: £150-230 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract:Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Rotherham. The successful candidate will bring creativity, consistency, and confidence to the classroom and contribute positively to whole-school life.

About the Role / Role Overview

In this role, you will take responsibility for a Key Stage 2 class, supporting pupils in their academic and personal development. You will plan and deliver inspiring lessons, monitor progress, and help pupils build the skills they need for a successful transition to secondary education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver dynamic and differentiated lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum.
  • Establish a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Assess pupil achievement accurately and use data to inform teaching.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, engagement, and effort in class.
  • Support the development of pupils’ literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking skills.
  • Engage with parents and carers to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through collaboration and participation in events and initiatives.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, with a proven track record of delivering the curriculum effectively.
  • Sound understanding of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 2 and assessment frameworks.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire young learners from diverse backgrounds.
  • Effective communication skills and a professional, reflective approach.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
