Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Teacher to work within a medium-sized Primary School in Cardiff. The school has a happy and enthusiastic atmosphere, with staff working together to create a supportive and inspiring environment. If successful, you will work alongside a great Senior Leadership Team as well as supportive Teachers and Teaching Assistants. You will be part of a team that aims to nurture good relationships between home and school.

Your new role

This role is confirmed long-term, teaching a Key Stage 2 class. You will be responsible for full-time teaching responsibilities, including preparation, while providing high-quality teaching experiences to help pupils achieve their best and feel confident as they develop in their learning journey. Duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Create lesson plans
2. Create and maintain a safe, interactive, and engaging learning environment for pupils
3. Set homework or exercises for pupils to practice after classroom hours
4. Demonstrate tasks, assign, and encourage discussions

What you’ll need to succeed

• You need to be a qualified teacher holding a valid QTS
• Hold a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
• A commitment to safeguarding and the wellbeing of pupils
• Up-to-date EWC registration
• A passion for creating a safe and welcoming environment for children to succeed
