Job description

Supply teachers needed to teach in Key Stage 2 at a one-form entry primary school in Wolverhampton.

Your new school

A single-form entry primary school, North-East of the centre of Wolverhampton, committed to providing a high-quality education that inspires and empowers its students. The school offers a warm, friendly, vibrant, and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. They are seeking dedicated and flexible Supply Teachers to join their team and support their Key Stage 2 students.

Your new role

I work with this primary school on a first-call basis to support them with advanced and same-day sickness cover. We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic teachers to provide ad-hoc, emergency, and pre-planned cover across Key Stage 2. The ideal teachers will have a strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons, sometimes at short notice. You will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity of learning during staff absences and ensuring students continue to thrive.

Responsibilities
  1. Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  2. Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual children.
  3. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  4. Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
  5. Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback as needed.
  6. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning.
  7. Be flexible and adaptable to cover different classes as required.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 2 students.
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classroom settings.
