Are you passionate about supporting young learners in their first years of school? Do you have the skills and enthusiasm to make a difference in a Key Stage 1 classroom?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (KS1 TA) to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hull. The successful candidate will support pupils in Key Stage 1, working closely with the class teacher to create a nurturing learning environment and provide tailored academic and emotional support. KS1 Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of engaging and creative lessons for Key Stage 1 pupils.
• Work with individuals and small groups to provide targeted learning interventions.
• Assist the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Encourage the development of pupils' literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
• Promote positive behaviour and help manage classroom routines effectively.
• Support children with additional needs, adapting activities to suit their requirements.
• Monitor pupils' progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.
• Prepare and organise classroom resources and materials.
• Foster a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning atmosphere.
• Help with the supervision of pupils during playtimes, trips, and other school activities.

Requirements for a KS1 TA:

• A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assistance or Childcare (e.g. CACHE, NVQ).
• Previous experience supporting Key Stage 1 pupils in a school environment as a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant.
• Strong understanding of early years and KS1 curriculum and child development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with young children and staff.
• Patience, creativity, and a nurturing attitude.
• An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or the willingness to apply for one.
