1:1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Hull

Salary Scale: £85 to £110 per day

Start Date:ASAP/September 2024

Status: Full Time/Part Time


GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join schools in Hull.

Job Summary: Support the student with classroom tasks, including reading, writing, and completing assignments. Work closely with the classroom teacher to plan and deliver effective support. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting students' learning and development on a one-to-one basis.

About the Role:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with special educational needs or additional learning requirements.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans and support strategies tailored to each student's needs.
  • Work closely with class teachers and SENCO to ensure the effective delivery of support and intervention.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
  • Monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Previous experience working as a teaching assistant, particularly in a one-to-one capacity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
