A single-form entry primary school, north-east of Wolverhampton city centre, which is committed to providing a high-quality education that inspires and empowers its students. They are looking for dedicated and flexible Supply Teachers to join their team and support their Key Stage 1 students.

Your new role

I work with this primary school on a first-call basis to support them with sickness cover, including same-day and pre-planned cover. I am seeking reliable and enthusiastic teachers to deliver ad-hoc, emergency, and pre-planned lessons across Key Stage 1. The ideal teachers will have a strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and the ability to deliver engaging lessons, sometimes at short notice. You will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity of learning during staff absences and ensuring students continue to thrive.

• Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
• Deliver planning where provided.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual children.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
• Mark work completed throughout the day, following the school's marking policy.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning.
• Be flexible and adaptable to cover different classes as required.
• Provide verbal or written handover to/for the class teacher.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Key Stage 1 students.
• Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
