Day Rate: £140 - £160 (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Job Description:

Are you an enthusiastic and committed KS1 teacher ready to inspire and nurture young learners? A welcoming primary school in Milton Keynes is seeking a Key Stage 1 Class Teacher from September 2025 to lead a class and contribute to the wider school community. You’ll be part of a vibrant, supportive team focused on delivering a broad, balanced and inclusive curriculum.

This role would suit an organised and reflective professional who is passionate about pupil development, confident in managing a classroom and experienced in collaborating with colleagues, parents and external agencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
  • Create a purposeful, caring and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress regularly.
  • Maintain discipline and safeguard the wellbeing of all pupils.
  • Coordinate a core subject and contribute to whole-school development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff and external agencies.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with KS1 teaching experience.
  • Strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to plan for all abilities.
  • A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and high standards of pupil welfare.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
  • Reflective, proactive and enthusiastic about continued professional development.
